Cattle Words

By-Product- any part of the animal that is not harvested for meat

Bull-  A male, cattle that can have calves

Steer- A male cattle, that cannot have calves

Cow-A female, that has had at least one child

Calf-a baby, that is less than one year

Yearling- a calf that is about a year old

Ruminant-an even toed animal that chews cud

hen- female duck or chicken

drake- male duck

duckling- baby duck

Thank you so much for being patient in this new chapter. I am grateful that so many are participating on Class Dojo. Please remember you are the teacher, you set the schedule.  If it is not working that day, take a break, come back to it.  We are all in the same boat, trying new things.  I appreciate everyone stepping out of their comfort zone and trying new things.  I also appreciate everyone's patience.
